- Activity data — articles you save, read, comment on, or follow; publishers and categories you follow.
- Payment and wallet records — wallet balance and transaction history, and manual payment submissions (amount, bank name, reference, and any receipt you upload) used to fund your wallet or advertising campaigns.
- Contributor and advertiser applications — the details you submit when applying to become a Publisher or Advertiser, or when submitting a story pitch.
- Technical data — IP address, browser user agent, and login timestamps, used for security (such as detecting repeated failed logins) and basic analytics.
- Cookies — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and, if enabled, an analytics cookie (see the Cookie Policy below).
How We Use Your Information
- To operate your account, wallet, subscriptions, and (if applicable) your Publisher or Advertiser portal.
- To review and moderate contributor applications, story submissions, comments and advertisements.
- To send account-related email (verification, password reset, notifications) and, if you subscribe, our newsletter.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized account access.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
What We Don't Do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your payment or wallet details with advertisers. Your comments and public profile are visible to other users as expected of a public magazine, but your email, phone number and payment details are not shown publicly.
Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us; some records (such as payment history) may be retained where required for financial record-keeping.
Your Choices
- You can update or remove most profile information from your Account Settings at any time.
- You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time via the link in any newsletter email.
- You can request a copy of your data, or its deletion, via our Contact page.
