The Art of Slow Mornings
For most of us, mornings are a race — alarm, phone, rush, door. But a growing number of people are pushing back against that pace, choosing instead to build a slower, more intentional start to the day.
It does not require waking up at dawn or an elaborate routine. It can be as simple as making tea without checking your phone, or sitting by a window for ten quiet minutes before the day's demands begin.
The benefit, people who have tried it report, is not really about the morning itself. It is about how the rest of the day feels afterward — calmer, less reactive, more like you chose your pace instead of being dragged by it.
Of course, slow mornings are a privilege not everyone can arrange around school runs and early shifts. But even five unhurried minutes, protected deliberately, can shift the tone of an entire day.
